Facilities under the Odisha Sickle Cell Project [See Annexure 1]

ACADEMICS

1. Facilities for Teaching [demo rooms, training hall teaching aids, etc]: Conference Hall with Projector available. 2. Other training programme:
  • Doctors trained working in district headquarters hospital of project districts & of nodal centre of the project: 15
  • Staffs of the Sickle Cell Project trained.
  • Sr.Manager:1, Scientific Officer:3, Accounts Officer:1, Research Assistant: 3, Programme Associate:16, Field Worker:3, Data Entry Operator:2, Office Assistant:2, Pharmacist Cum Storekeeper:2, laborotary technician:35
  • DMLT students under the Department of Pathology, VIMSAR Burla (vide letter no. 15 dated 4.7.2016 of the department of Pathology) are given 15 days hands on training on basic screening of sickle cell disorders and evaluated. Till date 33 DMLT students in 2016 and 73 DMALT students in 2017 have been successfully trained from this centre.
